By the Numbers
Safe and Secure
We have a 17% higher rating of students who say the campus is safe and secure compared to students at four-year private institutions in the East (SSI 2015).
Our officers are well-trained former police, corrections and probation officers as well as FBI agents.
Headquartered in Irmagarde Tator Residence Hall, the Department of Public Safety provides coverage on our campuses 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The staff responds to all emergencies and requests for assistance, and offers walking escort services on campus 24 hours a day. The department investigates complaints and submits follow-up written reports, and maintains working relationships with area law enforcement and emergency service agencies on matters related to campus safety and security.
In case of an emergency, call 911 from any telephone on campus.

We make sure our community stays connected at all times in the event of an emergency. In cases where there is a crisis or event that threatens the safety or well-being of any facet of the university, a campus alert will be issued, with communications broadcast via the website, our text alert system, and social media channels.
The Emergency Management Team, which is made up of representatives from across our three campuses, was created to lead Quinnipiac through major emergencies that threaten the health and safety of the university community.
Members of the emergency team are available to respond around the clock, 365 days a year. The team meets monthly and oversees various facets of responding to a crisis, including planning, operations, logistics, public information and internal communications, safety and communication with the senior level management of the university and other major stakeholders. Members of the Emergency Management Team also have completed the Federal Emergency Management Agency's National Incident Management System training.

Student Health Services
We offer a range of services to support the health and well-being of our students. The highest priorities of the staff are to meet the acute health needs of the student population and to provide ongoing health education opportunities as an integral part of the Quinnipiac experience. The Mount Carmel Campus Health and Wellness Center, located on Bobcat Way, is staffed by a registered nurse 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, while students are in residence (excluding the summer term).Download full-time student health form (PDF)
