Minor Overview

Consumers are exposed daily to millions of messages through audio channels, billboards, television ads, the web and their social media feeds. To remain competitive and relevant, advertisers in every major industry must craft dynamic narratives that make an indelible impact on audiences all over the world. Reaching target markets across all major platforms with these narratives requires a creative and strategic skillset. This is what Quinnipiac’s Minor in Advertising and Integrated Communications provides.

The advertising and integrated communications minor teaches digital and social media strategy, content production, visual design, copywriting, branding, media planning and more. You’ll learn to breathe new life into old brands, build crisp copy with interactive media and plan for effective dissemination across channels. 

Curriculum and Requirements

Advertising and Integrated Communications Minor Curriculum

The Advertising and Integrated Communications minor is only available to those students in Catalog Year 2016-17 or later. Students wishing to minor in advertising and integrated communications must complete 18 credits. This minor is not available to public relations majors.

For students whose majors are outside the School of Communications, required minor courses are:

Select three elective courses from Strategic Communication (STC). Two must be at the 300+ level.9
