Our Methodology

Reliable and timely polls led by respected industry professionals

By conducting at least 1 national survey every 2 weeks, the Quinnipiac University Poll is the most active polling institute of its kind in the country, requiring a staff of industry-leading experts to ensure each survey's accuracy and integrity. Our 9 full-time professional staff members include PhDs, media veterans and analytics experts who work together to create the methodology and all aspects of the survey process while directing each project from conception through analysis and information presentation.

For a typical public opinion survey, a randomly selected sample of about 1,000 registered voters, aged 18 and over, is interviewed over 5 or 6 days. The polls are conducted through a learning partnership with Quinnipiac students, in our state-of-the-art Polling Institute, close to our Mount Carmel and York Hill campuses.

It is this rare combination of expert staff, committed student pollsters and an unmatched research methodology that allows us to continuously stay front and center with information on today’s hottest and most debated topics.
